We’re Returning to Our “Community Futures” Roots

One thing became very apparent to our Team as we listened to and supported the business owners in Essex County through the recent pandemic, the future of our communities is of utmost importance to us. Every day we are motivated by the prospect of being able to offer guidance and resources to the people who operate small and medium sized enterprises in our rural communities. We are truly INvested in Essex County.

For over 30 years our office has administered the Community Futures (CF) program locally. The CF program is a national program to support rural based businesses. We provide a variety of resources including guidance, referrals, and patient capital. In 2015 we transitioned to the operating name “Business Resource Centre of Essex County” as we felt that the business resources we provided were what was most important to business owners. While the value of the resources we provide has not changed, the importance of supporting the future of our communities has never been more evident. Recently our Board of Directors decided to return to our CF roots, and return to the use of our “Community Futures” name. We are pleased to announce that going forward our operating name will be COMMUNITY FUTURES ESSEX COUNTY. We will continue to use the tagline “Business Resource Centre” as we will continue to offer all the resources you have come to know and expect from our Team.
